The Josh Nichol Mentorship Cohort
This is an exclusive live online small-group mentorship experience where committed riders come together to deepen their understanding, refine their feel, and learn directly from Josh in a collaborative learning environment.
Unlike traditional coaching, this isn’t a one-time video review or a single conversation.
It’s a mentorship process.
You’ll receive coaching, put the work into practice, return with your progress, and continue developing alongside Josh and a community of riders who are equally committed to becoming better partners for their horses.
Why This Is Different

It happens when you understand what your horse is communicating, apply that understanding, and receive guidance as you continue to develop.
This mentorship follows that process.

Perhaps the greatest advantage is that you won’t just learn from your own horse, you’ll learn from every horse in the cohort.
Watching Josh assess different horses, explain his thought process, and coach each rider creates a level of understanding that’s difficult to gain when focusing on just one horse.
How the Mentorship Works
The Founding Cohort is limited to 20 participants to ensure every rider receives meaningful coaching and personal attention from Josh.
Participants are divided into two working groups of 10 riders, with both groups receiving the exact same mentorship experience. The only difference is the dates of your coaching sessions.
Throughout the mentorship, each participant will:
- Submit one 5-minute initial training video
- Receive live coaching from Josh during their assigned initial group session
- Complete personalized homework based on Josh’s feedback
- Submit one 5-minute follow-up video after applying what they’ve learned
- Receive a second live coaching group follow-up session focused on their progress and next steps
Important: Although participants receive personalized coaching only on their assigned group’s two coaching dates, all 20 members attend all four live sessions. This creates a rich learning environment where you’ll gain individualized insight on your own horse while also learning from the other coaching conversations throughout the cohort.
Live Session Schedule
Initial Coaching Session
Submit your first training video. Josh will review your video live, explain what he sees, identify the underlying patterns affecting your horse, answer your questions, and provide personalized homework to work on before your follow-up session.
Follow-Up Coaching Session
Submit your follow-up video. Josh will review your progress, discuss what has changed, refine your understanding, answer your questions, and provide guidance for your continued development.
